Manufacturer Sales Career

The Position

Buckeye International, Inc. has over 200 exclusive distributors across the nation who relies on the Buckeye Sales Representative in their geographic territory for sales assistance, product knowledge, demonstrations and new product introductions. The Buckeye Sales Representative is a critical link between Buckeye International and our distributors. This individual must motivate, train, excite, encourage, challenge and confront each distributor’s sale force. Those who can coach distributor sales teams to sell the Buckeye product line and support their sales efforts with on-going training and marketing leadership will succeed as a Buckeye Representative.


Training

Buckeye provides an in-depth training program that we believe is paramount to our Sales Representative’s success. All Buckeye Manufacturer Sales Representatives start with a four-week comprehensive training program. The first week of which is spent with an existing Buckeye Salesperson, in their territory, seeing day-to-day operations as an observer. The next two weeks are spent at Buckeye International headquarters in St. Louis, where product and industry knowledge as well a full array of selling skills, are taught by a professional training staff. The final week is spent in your territory with your Sales Manager. You will travel to each distributor, making introductions and going on sales calls with distributor salespeople. Within 12 to 18 months, each Sales representative is brought back to St. Louis for a course on advanced selling skills and territory management. In addition, Buckeye holds an annual National Sales meeting for all Sales Representatives.

Requirements

  • Degree: BA/BS degree preferred
